Laughter really is the best medicine. That’s what Harold and George are about to learn the hard way. As best friends, they spend every possible moment together. At school, at home, in their treehouse… everywhere. Together they use their creative abilities to create their very own superhero. Captain Underpants is born. He becomes their outlet to express themselves. He also becomes much more. When Principal Krupp cracks down on the boys for their shenanigans, they devise a scheme to get revenge on him and bring Captain Underpants to life. Just when they think they’ve got things figured out, a new science teacher could put their entire scheme at risk. Will the boys figure it out in time? Will Captain Underpants save the day? These boys will learn that through all of the trials that they face that laughter really is the best medicine. This is definitely aimed at a younger crowd, with the storyline and the content. That being said, for the generation that grew up with Captain Underpants, they’ll find much to enjoy as well. If you’re not a previous fan or young/young-at-heart, then this might not be for you. Overall it’s a cute story with a lot of heart. It just lacks some of the magic that would help it appeal to everyone.
