The ultimate police force, scouts created by Tetravaal that are virtually indestructible. Designed to serve, protect and essentially replace a portion of the force. Everything seems to be going smoothly. Early on, someone else at Tetravaal has a personal stake in a project that isn't getting the same attention. The situation intensifies as the story is told. When one scout is earmarked to be destroyed, the scientist that created them wants to push the envelope. He has been working on an AI program that has the ability to give the scouts consciousness. In order to attempt this feat, he must take a risk. This risk has rewards but it's not without danger. He ends up in a situation with some criminals that will complicate a complicated situation. When he finally updates the single scout with the software... Something amazing happens. Chappie isn't what they expected, he is like a child. Like any child he has to learn. As he learns, his influences come from his maker as well as some shady characters. When Chappie is found out, the whole scout program is at risk. Who will prevail in this epic fight for the future? Don't think it's too predictable, there are still some twists to come... This definitely feels like a combination of Short Circuit, District 9 & Terminator. Some epic movies that many of us enjoy... So if you've ever imagined "what if...", you don't have to imagine anymore. You just have to go and see. There are violent situations and strong language throughout, for you to be aware.
