    The Review

A trial unlike any other. This movie shows the actual investigation and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell ran an inner-city abortion clinic in Philadelphia, where he provided a service that couldn’t be provided anywhere else. Abortion clinics are easy enough to find if you look hard enough, but this clinic was different. Dr. Gosnell didn’t really care about the law and the restrictions that came along with it… He made his own laws by only choosing to follow the laws that he agreed with. The challenges of this trial could have single-handedly disrupted women’s rights but that’s not what this was about. This story speaks for the ones who were silenced, for the victims of the unethical decisions that Gosnell made that would ultimately cost more lives than that which could be counted. We as a society can be biased towards many things in life but one cannot be biased or unbiased about life itself. It’s not about when life begins, or what factors go into play. It’s about taking the life of another and the consequences thereof. Whether you’re pro-choice or pro-life, there is a message here that is undeniable. Even though it can be a bit difficult to watch at times, the message that it portrays is something much more than it appears. Should you choose to experience this, take your tissues and breathe…
