The Review

A musical compilation of classical Disney and Grimm tales. The tales we know and love are twisted together in this strangely enticing production. Cinderella, Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and more... All not quite as we remember them but now maybe with a little bit more. ᅠA little more what? A little more confusion, a little more blending, a little more story. Plus, a LOT more singing. The last time Disney created such a musical film was Fantasia/Fantasia 2000. It's not a Disney musical without the music but this had so much it was distracting. I couldn't fully decide if I enjoyed it or if I was bored by it because I was both throughout. One scene I was enthralled, the next I couldn't wait for it to be over. Maybe it would have made more sense if I had seen the live production first but as the movie by itself it was missing... something. This is truly a movie that you'll feel strongly about. Whatever your feelings may be. It is a beautiful work of art that was executed well by all involved. There were some that stood out, and some that fell behind. See it for yourself... Then decide.
