The maze might have been the beginning, but this story is far from over. We somewhat pick up where we left off with the first story. The maze survivors are safe with WCKD... or are they... They thought victory was achieved when they escaped the maze but they're about to learn the real reason why the game isn't over yet. Only it's not a game unless survival is considered a game. The victors from the first movie are seen here again as they escape WCKD and face "The Scorch". The world outside is much harder than they thought it would be and when they're about to face the real reason why WCKD wants them so badly. As the chase continues, it will be revealed that one of them had their memories restored and that person will put them all in jeopardy. So what is next for them... The ending somewhat leaves us on a cliffhanger, but in this storyline, it works. I'm not sure how true this was to the story but it definitely filled in a missing piece of the plotline. It somewhat felt like Indiana Jones meets the Walking Dead but it still remained true enough to itself that it didn't hurt the idea. The question now becomes... Who will triumph? Wait and see...
