The Review

We’re introduced to the Grand Budapest hotel and it’s amazing amenities right at the beginning. A story being told by the proprietor to share the story of the hotel before it’s lost forever. Is it a documentary? Is it a comedy? Is it a drama? It’s a combination of all of the above. Picture a quirky stage show, mixed with hotel antics. The new hotel boy and his training to go up the ladder. The relationships that are developed, the blossoming of new love and the loss of love and life. No story would be complete without a villain. What we have at the end is an all star cast that intentionally bring usᅠa quirky show. One that makes us laugh, cry and think. It’s odd to be sure, and a bit boring to sit through. If you can make it all the way through to the end, you’ll appreciate it. The target audience is not the younger generation but more so the young at heart.
