The Review

Leprechauns are curious little creatures of Irish lore. They are believed to be symbols of luck and are imagined at the end of rainbows with the pot of gold for any lucky enough to find them. What is it about them that we find so fascinating? How do they get their gold? Do they celebrate the holidays? Those questions and more will be answered in this adorable holiday special. Blarney Kilakilarney is a leprechaun that is trying to protect his family and his clan from an evil banshee. All goes according to plan until a young sailor shows up on the isle looking for the perfect Christmas tree. How do these two stories connect? That is one that must be seen to be understood. What this does though is that it goes through the details of what we know and adds so much more that we don’t. The fictional details come to life like never before in this classic special. It’s not as well known as some of the other Christmas / holiday specials but it’s a rare gem that is often overlooked. Though it won’t appeal to everyone, it has a market all of its own.
