The Review

This disturbing psychosexual drama is one that will haunt you long after the credits have finished. The first few scenes leave you wondering if you're watching the correct movie. As the story continues, the pieces slowly (very slowly) fall into place. Two families, similar ages (both parents and children) are about to be more connected than they could ever imagine. One of the fathers has a secret, a secret that can tear his family apart. He can't or won't control himself. Chasing his urges, wherever those urges lead him. The children of the families, one boy, one girl, also find themselves dealing with pre-pubescent interests. As each of these is explored we are invited to see it from an extremely graphic point of view, at times even questioning if this is a drama or a pornographic piece (most likely both). As it is told, it is done so in a deliberately lethargic fashion. The subject matter that is tackled is one that will shake you to your core and make you absolutely sick. If it doesn't... then it should. The mere fact that they told such a story in the way such as this is either a work of unimaginable excellence or something much much worse. That's up to you to decide if you can stomach it!
