A man on the edge finds inspiration in the unlikeliest of places. This man is a former baseball player that turned to alcohol when he couldn't deal with life. While on a routine shopping trip, he comes across someone who is about to change his life. This person to most is seen as mentally challenged, that viewpoint will be challenged as this story is told. It feels as if we could be watching a real-life scenario. Parts of it feel so true to life that it could be under other circumstances. This young man will shine a light on all those around him. A light called love... A light that is needed in today's society. As this is portrayed, a question dawns on the mind that makes you ask which of the characters is truly mentally challenged... The one born with the handicap or the one who has made decisions that handicap himself. As in real life, these characters deal with tragedy both on a personal level and as a whole. One of these tragedies will rock them to their core. A truly inspirational movie that doesn't push the boundary too far. A truly inspirational feel-good film for all ages.
