The world has ended. Most of humanity is gone and there is only one area of sanctuary. One valley in the midst of the North-West United States is all there is left. A single inhabitant lives there with her canine companion. She wasn't alone though, what family she had left after the world ended, went out looking for... anything. After they didn't return, she knew she was alone. Surviving on her own is a struggle, she realizes soon that resources are running low and she must find other means to survive. One day while checking her traps, she comes across something, or should I say, someone. This might be someone to help her but as time continues, she realizes there's more to him than meets the eye. She has lost hope of everything else except God. Her belief is what has gotten her through everything, this guest is not a believer and there is a noticeable tension. At the climax of this tension, another wanderer finds his way to this sanctuary. The greeting is less than welcoming and the tension grows in multiple ways. How will this triangle work its way out... or can it. This is a story about multiple subjects: An apocalypse, A sanctuary (the valley), Believers, A non-believer, sexual tension and survival. It comes across as a tale of longing. Longing for something more. The story though well told, comes across as forced and out of sync with the characters. With the list of characters being as short as it is, you'd think they would've done more with it. This tale of survival will challenge you, are you prepared?
