What would you do if you only had 24 hours to live? Travis is an ex-military hit man of sorts that has worked as a contractor for a big shady organization known as Red Mountain. After the death of his wife and son he’s semi-retired just dealing with his loss and living life. Then a good friend and former military brother calls on him for a job...and off we go. It’s not hard to figure out where it’s going, it’s just the journey taken to get there that’s usually entertaining. The job goes a bit south and he ends up dead...or does he? He wakes up, or is woken up by an experimental procedure or “patch job” only to find he has a mere 24 hours left in his life. To live or die, to kill or not to kill? These are the questions he deals with along with the pain and regret he carries with him from his loss. The dialogue is what it is in these types of action movies however the performances aren’t bad at all, particularly those from Ethan Hawke. The action plays out really well and keeps your attention but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. Those of us who call these types of movies “guilty pleasures” will enjoy watching this at least once. We can’t help it. For all the action movie junkies out there, take a look and grab a snack and enjoy.
