Chinatown, a district in New York City that many are drawn to for the culture is now an area that a developer has his eyes on. The only holdout is a store called Curiosities. As the offer increases, the owner refuses to budge. Is it a matter of pride or is it something more... He has something in his shop that can massively affect the course of mankind. His job has been to keep it safe. What is it? It is called a Mogwai. A cute and cuddly little creature that comes with a lot of responsibility. There are three rules, Keep him out of bright light (especially sunlight), Never get him wet and Never feed him after midnight. This cute little creature is one we've met before. His name is Gizmo. The developers will come across Gizmo in a very unfortunate situation. Gizmo gets taken to a lab and that's where it begins (again). When Gizmo accidentally gets wet, it starts. Here they grow again! Letting Gremlins loose on a city like New York is unimaginable. Thankfully, some friends from the past are here to help. This is a more monstrous tale of the first movie. The Gremlins are creepier and there are more gory scenes. Though I've rated this movie as Innocent, it's best to make sure that sensitive eyes and minds can handle this. It's a sequel that fits in line with the story but falls short on depth. The visuals help make up for some of it but it's not quite what you might expect.
