Beauty is something we all strive for but do we even know what it is? That is a difficult question in and of itself. So where do you begin... society's definition, others definition or your own definition... Is there even a difference? No, I'm not trying to be vague or confusing, but I'm addressing a real problem. Just as this story does. What we see here are the stories of people, their struggles with their personal image, how they got there and what they plan to do about it. Some of the options are controversial but each person must make their own decision. This is presented in a beautiful way, presenting their lives to us in a very raw fashion. We see them at their weakest, yet they don't break. Why were they weak to begin with though? It comes back to the standards that we hold beauty to in the first place. This challenges a lot of stereotypes and leaves each of them in a better place than that of which where they were. Some of the images are incredibly graphic and may be off-putting to some but it's worth sitting through. If you've ever struggled with image, or if you've ever been judgmental towards someone else's... This is not only a lesson in beauty but humanity as a whole.
