Malcolm Gray is an AWOL special ops soldier that is holding up in a New York apartment. His PTSD from his wars fought seem to get the best of him. We watch him slowly unravel. Day by day, breaking down further and further, going deeper and deeper, closer and closer to the edge of insanity. Blaming his brother for selling him out while building his political career. Will he go over the edge? Can he figure out what’s real and what’s in his head? Will Malcolm ever be the same again? Watching him unravel is both incredible and scary to watch happen. Don’t let the title of movie fool you, there’s not much action for something with Black Ops in the title. It’s more of a psychological drama/thriller the way it plays out. It focuses on Malcolm and his quest to bring down those responsible for the death of his men. Flashbacks play a part but aren’t overused. This is a deep drama for sure. If that’s the kind of movie that intrigues you, then you will most likely enjoy it.
