Xeroderma Pigmentosum is something that most people have never heard of. It's not a made-up movie disease, it's a real medical condition that forever changes the lives of those suffering with it as well as those around them. To put it simply, it's a significant sensitivity/allergy to the sunlight; specifically the ultraviolet rays in the sunlight. Katie has lived her life in the dark, watching the world pass her by. When her graduation comes, she wants to go outside the norm and dare to be normal, even if only at night. Her adventure brings her face to face with the face of the boy she has been in love with for years. As awkwardly amazing as this encounter was, it would change her life. Katie and Charlie seemed like a perfectly normal couple. Young love always seems so sweet, but in this case, it was bittersweet. They had desires for their futures but there were things that were in the way. When an unintended mistake happens, everything will begin to change for Katie. Every moment counts when the next one could be your last. This story is The Notebook for a new generation. Tender and touching, it's also tough because it's easy to get caught up in the story and forget that this is very real. Admittedly a chick flick, it's a great date movie or just one if you're curious about something that is exceedingly rare. Live your life to make memories, it's the only thing that you'll leave behind that really matters.
