Many atrocities happened during WWII, one of the most recognized is the Holocaust. One of the darkest times in human history affected millions of families... It seemed like the horrors would never cease, that was until Oskar Schindler. He was a member of the Nazi party and ordered to oversee a division of Jews in his factory. When those in power made the decision that the purpose of his factory would change, Oskar cultivated a plan. He had come to know the humanity of those who worked under him, not at the scourge of society that he was taught, but as the human beings that they were. Schindler would put a plan into place to re-direct those in his employ to safety and keep them safe until the war was over. Even with the resolute Nazi's that were also under his order, he would play whatever part was necessary to achieve the ultimate goal. His actions would single-handedly save approximately 1,200 jews. These Jews would become known as "Schindler's Jews" to history. This is not just Oskar Schindler's story, it's the story of the Holocaust, a story of the victims of the Holocaust, and a story of the survivors that he was able to help. An expression of the human spirit that refused to be broken by the world around him would transform the lives of so many that would go on to change history themselves.
