Long after the days of Arthur, the world is once again in need of a king. England may rule the throne but the power truly lies in the one who can pull the sword from the stone. Young Alexander finds himself in a difficult position. As the target of bullies, he and his best friend Bedders stand tall against their adversaries. While escaping from their tormentors, Alex comes across a sword in a block of stone. Even as he pulls the sword, he has no clue what he has done. Together, he and Bedders will work at solving the mystery of the sword. Little do they know that by solving the inscription on the sword, that the fate of the world around them will rest on their shoulders. They will need some help and who they turn to is the unlikeliest of allies. Their quest will take them across the lands to uncover a truth that may be more than they can bear. Someone from the past will put them on the path to their future. When they realize what must be done, it may be more than they are capable of... What will happen? Will Alexander become king? Will they defeat their foes? These questions and more will be answered along the way. Some of the scenes are a bit intense for younger audiences and the content may not be for everyone. Even with that, this is a fun story for the pre-teen crowd that it's aimed at. Whether it's for a wider audience than that is up for interpretation.
