Comedy has changed a lot over the years. What we see today is a lot different from where it began. Back in the golden age of comedy, there were the big names: The Marx Brothers, Charlie Chaplin, The 3 Stooges, and of course Laurel and Hardy. This is the story of Laurel and Hardy. This takes us through their career, their personal lives, their ups and their downs. What we saw on stage and on screen was a lot different than their lives off of the stage. There were times that their careers were almost destined to be apart from one another but through friendship and familiarity, they found their way back. It wasn't without its struggles, there were hurt feelings and some issues that no matter how far they went, this dark shadow would follow. The focus of the story is their tour to reignite their fan base in preparation of an upcoming movie. How the story comes full circle may surprise you. Seeing the realities of their lives is a bit sobering but is also heartwarming. Fans of the golden age of comedy will find a lot to enjoy, those unfamiliar with the duo have a chance to experience them for the first time. It may not be for everyone but it's something special for those who understand it for what it is.
