Billy is a foster kid that is difficult. No matter where he's placed, he's determined to find his mom. He got separated from her years ago and he just knows that when he finds her that things will be alright. That's not the only journey that is taking place here though... Dr. Sivana is also searching for something. Something he got a glimpse of years ago and is desperate to get back to. When Billy accidentally comes across the secret that Sivana has been searching for it opens up endless doors for him. As Billy now struggles to find out who he is and what he's capable of, Dr. Sivana is just as desperate to take it away from him. Billy will enlist the help of some friends to accomplish what he's trying to do and they'll end up helping him with much more than he realizes.
This Shazam movie is generally based on the story's graphic novels. There are some liberties taken with the story and some might say it enhances the story and others might think it distracts. Some of the content may be a bit intense for the youngest of audiences, but as long as you're prepared, it can be easily explained. Simply, it's the beginning of something that could become something more. The question is... Will it?
