The Overlook is a historic hotel that is nestled in the mountains of Colorado. They cater to an elite clientele throughout most of the year. During the winter months, due to the inability to access the hotel; it closes for the season. Someone must remain to maintain the building. Jack and his family are perfect for this position. What they fail to realize is the real history of the Overlook. Soon their young son Danny befriends someone at the hotel with whom he shares a special gift. Though some may call this gift a curse, it may be all that they need to survive the coming months. While adjusting to life at the hotel, Jack begins to exhibit symptoms of something or someone else. Danny also experiences these from a different perspective and his mother is left trying to keep it all together. When things go too far, Jack takes matters into his own hands. It's now up to Danny and his mom to try to escape with their lives. Will they escape in time? What will happen to Jack? To the Overlook? So many questions and so many answers are waiting to be revealed. Though not for the faint at heart, it's an intense introspective into the depths of madness that you'll have to experience to understand.
