In the final third chapter of Atlas Shrugged we find Dagny crashing into the world John Galt created. We do get to finally meet John Galt and find out who he really is and why he did what he did. Although we once again replaced the entire cast and the random narration is a bit out of place, the story itself needs to be the focus as this trilogy comes to a close. A lot of principles and deep thoughts are laid bare in this political thriller. Dagny does have a choice to make, stay in Atlantis with all the mighty men and women that have sided with John Galt’s cause to build a better world, or return and face all the political corruption in her world which is crumbling. Will she make the right choice? Will she make it in time? “I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man. Nor Ask another man to live for mine.” This is the oath every person has taken who lives in John’s new world. Is this what you believe or will you just shrug and go on with your life as it has always been? Although the caliber of this trilogy takes a bit of a dive after the first and second chapters, the questions, actions of those involved in the strike, and morals remain intact. Complete the trilogy if not for anything but to find out who this John Galt really is and what he’s made of!
