There’s no watered down version being displayed here. It draws you in to the battle, to the survival, to the mission at hand. War is dirty, war is hard, and it’s real. The gunfights are full of intensity and reality, the emotion of the soldiers and why they do this is what stands out throughout the movie. It’s about what happened in Somalia that takes the stage not one particular person or actor. is nothing short of incredible and the detail is very realistic which make it more intense and very believable with what happens in real war. Cinematography he stories that come out of war can be compelling and often times heroic when portrayed in the movie. Heroes are those who will lay down their lives for someone else, even if they don’t know them. The story here is a group of heroes that were trying to bring peace to a war torn part of the world. When a Black Hawk goes down, it’s also now a rescue mission because no one gets left behind. Is this the kind of movie that you’re into? War, true story, intense battle scenes? If so, this is something to behold. Nobody asks to be a hero, it just sometimes turns out that way.
