We are all held captive by different things in life. These things can range from addictions and passions to friends and family amongst other things. Here we are introduced to Ashley, a young mother who is addicted to meth. Part of the story outlines her journeyﾠto get herself cleaned up. The other part that we see is that of Brian Nichols. A man that has made some bad decisions and is facing the consequences of those decisions. Before he can face what he has done, he gets some news and makes a decision. This decision will seal his fate. As he runs, he leaves a trail of tragedy in his wake. He and Ashley cross paths, upon doing so, he takes her hostage. A gift that Ashley received from a friend will be the answer to this unending question. What starts as a tragic story ends as a story of hope. Though it's somewhat well told, it feels like something that shouldn't be anything more than a made for TV movie. This is based on a true story, and the lives affected are very real in more ways than that which can be portrayed. As the credits begin to roll, we are invited into a glimpse into the real lives of those involved. A tale that teaches us, that we all have a purpose in life... Go find yours...
