Love is never as simple as it seems. What makes it so complicated though? It should be simpler than it is, after all, when 2 people fall in love... What else matters? That's a complicated question. It's never as simple as it seems on the surface. There are family members, obligations, friends, jobs, and so much more. So when Nick and Rachel hit it off, they are literally living on cloud 9. That is until they take a trip to Singapore to attend a wedding. Nick has been living a simple life in the U.S. but back home, his life is anything but simple. Immediately, his family disapproves of Rachel. She doesn't come from an influential or powerful family to them, she just isn't good enough for Nick. Nick's family goes out of their way to make sure that she knows what they think of her too. It gets to a breaking point where she must find her voice. Fortunately, she has a friend there in Singapore who understands. Even with the support of her friend, it's more than Rachel can bear. Heartache and heartbreak ensue for more than her and Nick. It seems like his family has an issue with love in general. After all, it's not about love when you reach a certain social status (or so they think). Just as Rachel gets ready to go home, something surprising happens that could change everything. Is it too little too late? You'll have to watch and find out for yourself.
