We know the stories, they end in happily ever after and life goes on. What we don't know is what happens after the happily ever after. This Disney movie focuses on the descendants of the heroes and villains. What doesn't make any sense in the sheer idea that all the heroes and villains are the same age with children that are the same age... Considering the fact that the movies were decades apart! On top of that, adding in the obvious differences between the original's and this version makes this a painfully confusing tale. Now if you take the Disney equation out of it, it is a cute story about choosing your own path. That your destiny is not determined by your parents, that you choose your path in life. The hard part is the fact that you cannot forget that this is a Disney tale. That the characters you've known and loved for years are distorted and different. Adding in the idea that the story at its center is a wholesome and beautiful tale, but only if you know nothing about the characters up to this point. This is a cute movie for kids (if they've never watched the classics)... but it will definitely upset anyone who loves the classics.
