Lord Beerus, asleep for 39 years has barely been down for a cat nap. He sets his alarm to wake up early so that he doesn't miss the ultimate creation. There are rumors about a Super Saiyan God, none of the fighters that Beerus knows about fit the description but he's destined to find out or... destroy everything and everyoneﾠwhile trying. On this search, he interrupts a birthday party of an influential citizen. We see the classic Dragonball Z characters all grown up. Some of them now have children and others are on different paths in life. This particular party is a reversal than most, the hostess is handing out gifts instead of receiving them. One of the gifts is the entire set of Dragonballz. Goku is the logical choice when others think of this Super Saiyan God. Unfortunately, even with the best he has to offer, he falls short. Through the combined efforts of old friends, they learn the secret behind the Super Saiyan God. Working together, they find him. It's more than a surprise to everyone involved what the key to the puzzle is. Can our friends defeat Lord Beerus or is Earth destined for destruction. You'll definitely be entertained if you enjoyed the cartoon of days past. As for Anime, it falls in the so-so category. The entire movie is dubbed in English which does make it easier to understand but if you're like me, you can't help but focus on the words not matching the movements. Classic Dragonball Z brought back to life with a new twist.
