This movie takes everything we know about the story of Moses and turns it on its head. If you are the sort that is easily offended by the fact that a traditional story is rewritten with artistic license then stop right here. If you can accept this is a creative interpretation of a classic story then read on. The traditional story is not portrayed here, though this is a story of Moses and Ramses. How Moses was rescued ﾠand raised along side Ramses... How they were looked upon... Their stature and responsibilities and the animosity that grew between the two. When Moses learns the truth, his life as he knows it comes to an end but he doesn't know where to turn. He sets out into the desert and finds his answer. When his life seems to be everything he could want a child shows up and changes everything. Moses must make a decision about what to do next. When his decision is made he takes action to see it through but is never that simple. Don't think the story will follow traditional paths even along this area of the story. The action itself isn't enough to provide answers. It takes much more. More what? You'll have to see it to understand. Although I credit the writer/producer with creativity for their interpretation of this classic tale. The story didn't have much flow. It jumped past portions of the story that seemed important. Questions were left unanswered and the story was slow. I was expecting much more than what I saw. Sadly, I do not recommend this, solely on how it was told. It was a struggle to stay focused and awake! The CGI was incredible but not enough to make up for the rest.
