A Mickey Mouse classic is about to get a makeover. This new version combines the classic hand-drawn material with modern CGI graphics. This combination makes for an interesting watch. We see this unfold in a theater, and the characters go from being something on the screen that the audience can watch (without an audience) to interacting with one another on both sides of the curtain. It begs to ask the question, ingenious idea or unnecessary mess. Depending on who is watching it, I'm sure the answers will differ greatly. Either way, it's a fun throwback to a classic cartoon that has probably been forgotten for many years. Making the old new again with this new technique has potential but whether or not it succeeded here is up for debate. Watch it for the value of the classics, stay for the new ideas and leave with your own conclusion.
