It's said that with a good book, the story comes to life. Well, that's never been quite so true as in this story. R.L. Stine is an author, but an author unlike any other... Why, is that... You're about to find out. He lives with his daughter, but they live in isolation. He has made this choice because of what he has created. When some new neighbors move in next door, his life is about to change. One of the new neighbors suspects something unusual, and in the process of investigating what it is... inadvertently unleashes the unthinkable. The recluse author must confront what he has been avoiding. In doing so, the entire town is at risk. Secrets will be uncovered, lives will be changed and theﾠGoosebumps stories will never be the same. This is an intense story that is attempted to target a younger audience, in reality, it's for the pre-teen/teen/adult's that are more apt to hand the graphic intensity. It's definitely funny but overall it's more goofy than anything. The characters that come to life, are a little much for a younger audience, in the books the subject matter may be fine but on the big screen, it could really be an issue (fear wise). The animation was incredible and the idea stayed true to the stories. Ultimately this has reignited a love for these stories that may have been lost by a generation. Welcome back Goosebumps!
