Jack is a young boy that was born on the coldest day of the year. Being that it was such a cold day, his heart was frozen solid the moment that he was born. There was only one way to save his life, to install an artificial heart that wasn't a heart at all. His heart was replaced with a cuckoo-clock. As he grew, he had to be extra careful because of his heart. As he grew, he wanted to experience more that life had to offer. In doing so he must always remember the rules for his heart (see below), following these rules would keep him alive but his life lacked spark. When he comes across the spark that ignites his very soul, his heart is at risk. It then becomes a matter of following or protecting his heart. That choice is not an easy one for him to make but had his choice been different, the story would have been very different. This unusual tale almost feels like something from Tim Burton but it just doesn't have the strength of his stories. The characters are animated beautifully and the story is unique. There just isn't enough to entertain you all the way through. Was it because they tried too hard or not hard enough? No one will know, but you can make your own mind. This isn't for everyone, the ideas seem simple but some of the subject matter might confuse some. Ultimately, it's your decision to make if this is for you.
