"You're a fine boy, Henry. Anyone who says otherwise is not worth your time." Henry is a young boy living alone with his divorced mother Adele. Seeing how his mother is affected by loneliness and depression has made Henry attempt to fill the social void in her life since he was very young. As he grows older Henry becomes increasingly aware that his efforts are lacking in ways that he cannot understand. The lives of both Henry and Adele are unalterably changed over the course of a holiday weekend when they agree to give a man a ride.
This movie is quite good. The performances of the characters are compelling and well portrayed. The plot is more than a little improbable and very emotionally driven. It gives an excellent depiction of the importance that relationships can play in life and the effects their absence might have. This one's definitely worth a look if you're looking for something to pull at your heartstrings.
