Not every family is close to each other but sometimes a death can bring them together. This drama follows the story of Gene and his two sons Jonah and Conrad after the questionable death of their mother. Their mother Isabelle Reed was a photographer that traveled and captured the very lives of those in poverty from around the world. However, every time she would come back home she was a changed woman. Gene, Jonah, and Conrad come together under one roof again to sort through her stuff and their family differences. The problem is they all remember Isabelle differently and desperately need each other but are too stubborn to realize it. Each of them is headed down a dark path unless they can overcome their stubbornness and work through their emotions. This film is a little bit harder to follow along with than most but perhaps that’s because it’s a more accurate representation of how we as humans deal with emotions and events. If you’re looking for a challenge on the human perspective then good luck with this story that seems to leave you asking questions.
