The Review

Thinking about history, there are many items that stand out in their level of atrocity. There are moments where history shows us the opposition to those items. Cases are judged on a case by case basis, this seemed cut and dry at first glance. The thing to remember is there are 3 sides to every story. In order for the accused to get a fair trial, it took the NAACP's intervention into the trial. Justice, no matter how blind she is, still sees glimpses of color through biased eyes. At least these eyes don't represent all that are involved. Sometimes things aren't as obvious as they seem. Sometimes, the truth is harder to hear than a lie. This single civil rights case involved someone who would go on to serve on the United States Supreme Court. His words, as well as his actions, helped to define generations. How that is perceived by some is biased in opposite directions, depending on the discussion. That being said, this shows one instance of overcoming inequality and helping others to be color blind. Now if only...
