Running for your life is the name of the game where WCKD is concerned. WCKD seems concerned with one thing, finding a cure for the virus. The select few who are immune have fought for their freedom and now their lives. Now they find themselves fighting for each other. Some of the those who have escaped are held captive by WCKD in the hopes of using them to find the cure. Only it seems like their intentions are much darker than it had appeared to be. As they rescue one group of kids, it's clear that there are key members still missing. In their darkest hour, they must turn to someone on the inside to have any chance. That'll be harder than it seems though as there doesn't seem possible to get to this person to begin with. As they get closer to their goal, WCKD's intentions become crystal clear and the adventure up until now finally seems to fit together. Will there be a cure for the virus in time? Is there any hope left for the world? These answers and more will be revealed in this third and final installment in the maze runner series. It's a little bit of Mad Max with a bit of The Walking Dead mixed with a bit of WCKD. Sounds unusual and indeed it is. As disjointed it is from the others, it does reach a conclusion at the end, it just might not be the one you expect.
