Loe is a simple Amish boy that can’t speak due to his parents not believing in surgery when he needed it to fix his voice. He works at a bar in Berlin and finds a bit of love as well. But she has her secrets. Her secrets catch up to her and she disappears and Leo won’t give up until he finds her. As he puts some pieces together things start to make sense about what her secrets were. But again, nothing will stop Leo from finding his love. Skarsgard puts on a stellar performance for not being able to speak. It’s hard enough to remember your lines, but when you have to act without words it gets a bit tougher. It’s saying “I Am Groot” fifty different times and meaning it fifty different ways. He pulls it off and draws you in with his facial queues very well. The rest of the cast is pretty good but the main conflict comes between Bill and Leo towards the end. It has a low budget Blade Runner look and feel showing the lesser tech as well as the advanced world everything is catching up to. It is a slower burn but has enough to keep you interested just by watching what Leo does and how he acts without saying a word. Sound like something you would watch? Wait, don’t say anything, just watch it and see for yourself.
