Being a woman isn't always easy. Being a former woman is even tougher. What do I mean by this? I'm talking about women who have undergone the transition of gender from female to male. This short film is a documentary following the lives of three present males. There is a certain way women are treated and expected to act as well as a certain way men are treated and supposed to act. When you grow up being treated one way and then undergo gender transition you are treated in a whole new way. This in itself is hardﾅ..then you add race into it and it gets even more complicated. Different genders are treated differently and also in different ethnicities. These three males were not only once females but are also African American giving a whole new meaning to the behavioral approach. This film explores the journey and emotions of living as an African American transgender and how the world interacts with them.
