When Homer takes Maggie on a playdate, she finds a special friend. After this playdate, she longs to play with her new friend again, but without being able to communicate she can't express herself in words. She must find a new way to tell Homer where she wants to go. Unfortunately, he has other plans. She is determined to find a way back to her new friend. When she finally figures out a way to get to him, it might be too late. Is this a story of friendship enduring or is it a fateful tragedy? How it plays out just might surprise you.
As one of the Simpsons first animated shorts (not including all of the pre-episode antics), this is broad enough to capture a wide audience but still aimed at giving Maggie a voice of her own.
