At the beginning, we are welcomed into the annual celebration of Carnival in Rio De Janeiro. Blue, Jewel and their 3 children are joined by their friends all dancing and singing while bringing in the new year. Linda and Tulio are in the Amazon searching for any other Blue Macaw's that may be out there. Blue, Jewel and their family along with some friends decide to travel to the Amazon to see their humans. On this journey, they run into Nigel, who has also gained some new friends since the last movie. Nigel has developed a flair for Shakespeare and we see that throughout the film. Blue and his family arrive in the Amazon and to their surprise they find another flock of Blue Macaw's and not just any flock but it's Jewel's family. Blue desperately tries to fit in and it's one struggle after another as he's not accepted. He is eventually able toᅠprove himself to the flock by helping to save them all from the deforestation of the rainforest with the help of Linda and Tulio. Showing the flock that some humans can be trusted as well as teaching some old birds new tricks. This movie shows the 3 C's of a relationship, Caring, Communication, and Compromise. A very well told story for the young and old alike.
