Robin Williams led an extraordinary life. Talented in so many ways, his only goal in life was to make others happy. To those closest to him, he was so much more than what we could see. As much as everyone loved Robin, it was only those closest to him that knew that his life wasn't all laughter and happiness.
We all have struggles in life, those struggles may differ from person to person but we're all struggling whether we want to admit it or not. This documentary explores Robin's life and the legacy he left behind. What many didn't realize was that as Robin was aging, he was struggling more than anyone realized. Not knowing what was happening, he was losing himself to a cesspool of his own consciousness. Test after test led to more questions but never enough answers. His brain was betraying him and fighting through it was becoming more than he could bear.
Turning to hobbies and his loved ones were all he had left. Eventually, even that wasn't enough. On the night of August 10th, 2014, Robin would tell his wife how much he loved her and turn in for the night. Little did anyone know (but him) that it would be his last.
The entire world would mourn. It wasn't until his death though that it was exposed what was actually destroying him. He suffered from a rare condition known as Lewy Body Dementia. He changed the world in his life and again in his death. A legacy of love and laughter that is eternal.
