Bennie Chan is a cop chasing down the mastermind of the criminal underworld that others say don’t exist. Enter Connor Watts, a hustler/gambler/con man who gets in bad with the owner of the casino. Guess who the owner of the casino is, the mysterious man (Wong) Chan has been chasing down for years for killing his partner. Chan finds out how Connor is mixed in with his investigation and tracks him down only to find Connor being questioned by Wong in a not so subtle manner. This comedic duo has to team up not only to escape the bad guys but to turn around and track them down. As far as the movie overall, it’s silly from start to finish. From a story, acting, and shot perspective it’s a bit sloppy everywhere. It’s not even typical Jackie Chan like in Rush Hour because Rush Hour was actually funny, this isn’t. The movie jumps around it tries to be an action/comedy but doesn’t really reach either very well. Definitely a boring Sunday afternoon movie to put on if that. If in the mood for silly pointless action and you love Jackie Chan, then this is the definition of one of those.
