There is an essential element to the human condition. It consists primarily of learning who we are through experiences, our environment, and those around us. So what happens if you're a sophomore in High School with raging hormones and you happen to get bit by a radioactive spider? Well, it presents another level to the problems that the average teenager is already dealing with. This is the side of Peter that we get to see. He's an awkward teenager just trying to get through life. He's also hungry for the power that he had a taste of in the last fight. One particular hero is trying to take him under his wing and show him the ropes or webs as it is. Try as he may, he just can't seem to find the niche where he fits in. Try as he may to escape his fate, he must first learn to walk before he can run. The story here isn't your typical superhero movie, it's more just the story of an awkward kid learning to become a superhero. Presented in the way that it is may be convoluted for some but it just simply seems like it's trying too hard. Even though it doesn't follow the traditional story, there is something appealing about the simplicity of it.
