Imagine if you will... A church, a place where any / all should be able to find refuge, then add in the worst atrocity you could imagine happening to a child. Now combine the two... Seems unimaginable, doesn't it? Well, unfortunately, it's nothing we have to imagine because it's happening, it's been happening for years. To make matters even worse, there are those that have been trying desperately to hide it, cover it up, and make it disappear. When the primary investigative team for the Boston Globe got ahold of this, they almost couldn't believe it either. Only when they began to unveil one atrocity after another, did they begin to see how big this really was. They were fought along the way, by the church, by the law, and even by some of the victims. Yet they knew this was too big to bury so they kept at it. These few members of Spotlight changed not only their city but the world. This story sounds entirely too horrid to be true, but it is. This entire cinematic prowess delves deep into the investigation that brought this forth. It's an emotional, drama that will leave you reeling. As much as it will upset you, stay with it... there is more to this story than it seems. The question then becomes are you ready to hear the truth... This will evoke many emotions, the content makes it unsuitable for a younger audience (I'd recommend 17+). Though it may be offensive to some, sometimes we need to not look away but look evil right in the eye, so that something can be done. They had the strength to do so... What about you?
