What does a drug lord look like? Is it your next door neighbor, someone who lives on the streets, or is it someone who lives in luxury? It could be any of them but this story revolves around one who lives the high life. Desperate for a life away from all of this, he dreams of retiring to somewhere tropical. In order to do this, he has to redirect the flow in and out of his connections. Doing so will put a target on his back but in order to avoid that fate, he must do the unthinkable. Whether or not he is successful depends on many different factors that involve both sides of the law. It gets messy along the way but he is determined. Can he pull it off before it's too late? Or will the price to walk away be more than he's willing to pay? This remake of the original SuperFly at least pays homage to the original though deviating from the storyline. If you loved the original, you may be intrigued by this one, just come prepared that it's probably not what you'd expect. In saying that, this speaks to an audience of its own. It's a story that you'll love or hate, depending on what you see. After all, perception is an art in and of itself.
