The Review

Time is a constant in life, that is except for Adaline. She was born into an ordinary life, but an accident led to something extraordinary. After the accident, Adaline never aged another day. It was both a blessing and a curse as the years went on. Her life became a series of deceptions through the decades. She lived her life, just not as herself. That is except for one person. One person who knew the truth, one person who Adaline could still confide in. As time ravaged this person, Adaline realized how painful being ageless really is. On New Years Eve, one of the few dates she still celebrates, she encounters someone. This someone finds her very intriguing and wants to know more about her. She pushes him away over and over again, there is no point when there can't be a future. He refuses to give up and eventually convinces her to take a chance. When she does, she comes face to face with someone from the past. This encounter will change everything... She'll have to decide what is more important... the past or the future. When she makes the decision, her life will be changed forever. A wholesome tale about an ageless woman and her life. There are some slow moments, they don't take away from the overall story but some of them feel like filler. As the story unfolds, your attention is fixed on the screen, only upon leaving that you begin to question what was so memorable aboutᅠit. Though it was done very well, there could have been something more. It is a great date movie but I just wish the story was as timeless as Adaline...
