A documentary that is absolutely raw, riveting and unforgettable. I watched this movie on Memorial Day, and it couldn't have been better timing. Mike and Carlos Boettcher (father and son) are the journalists that bring this to us. An unscripted, non-Hollywoodized true look at our men and women in Afghanistan. We are able to see everything from the lighthearted hijinks at the barracks and the emotion on the front line. We are drawn into the lives of our U.S. Armed Forces, experiencing their laughter, their fears, the good and the bad, the life and the death. What happens during battle? We think we know, we've seen clips on the news, we've played Call of Duty... but we haven't seen the reality of it... Until NOW! Watching it from this point of view draws us right into the action. We see what they see, we hear what they hear... do we feel or experience what they do? That would be impossible but we are drawn into the emotion of it. It doesn't matter what side you're on. This is for everyone, young and old alike. Our hearts swell with pride as we see our men and women doing what they do best. Our hearts also break as we experience the heartbreak of loss.
