Rock and Roll, a form of music that not only transformed a generation it completely transformed everything... for us and for those that sung it. Here we have a story of a set of twins born in the hardest part of the depression. Their parents, struggling just to survive make the hardest decision possible and give one of their babies away to a loving couple. How these 2 boys grown up is drastically different, one is raised on a small farm and the other is raised in a church environment. No matter how different their stories mayﾠbe, they share something deeper than anything else. A love of music. When one of them makes it big, the other one is compared to him. Yet through all of this, they do not know of the deep, dark, secret that the other one even exists. As time follows, one follows his calling and the other one is trying to be a good son and be obedient, following in his father's footsteps. Ultimately, both young men follow their hearts and their callings. The cost of those choices are sometimes to much to bear but the end result was simply being true to self. This story will seem familiar in many ways. It's loosely based on Elvis Aaron Presley. What many don't realize is Elvis's twin brother Jesse died at birth. Is this what would have happened if Jesse had survived? How would history be rewritten? This tale is heartwarming and emotional... Truly a family film about what's important in life.

The Identical was a fascinating parody movie loosely based off the Elvis story of having a twin. typically when I think of parodies I think humorous antidotes that are fun of the original concept. The Identical was not that, it was moving and a beautifully tragic story. It posed the age old question of twins and how deep the shared connections run even when separated. I enjoyed this movie immensely, for its heart and humor. - Rebecca
