The Great Depression was a time of hardships. Hardships that broke people and families across the country. In Chicago, a single father had a job opportunity that he couldn't pass up. The only problem is that the job is across the country and he couldn't take his daughter. Once his daughter realized that her father was gone, she quickly knew where it was that she belonged. Through her journey cross country (after running away) she would come along some unexpected friends in very unexpected places along the way. Her experiences and adventures would test her physically and mentally. Although it was a nearly impossible journey she found a way to find her way. Only once she arrives, the reunion that she expected doesn't go quite as planned... Will she make it back to her dad? What will happen along the way? This Disney tale looks deep into one family during one of the darkest times in recent history. Some of the situations are not for all and the language is a little strong for a Disney film but this is sure to become a classic. Though not as well known as some titles, this is destined to become a classic.
