Before "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.", there was the uncle himself and what had to be done to stop him. It took two countries, two agents, and two agencies. Sounds easy, doesn't it? Well, it was anything but... In a divided Germany, one agent is determined to rescue the niece who is an important key to unlocking this plan. Whilst doing so, the other agent was doing everything possible to stop him. What none of them are coming is the three of them must come together to see this through. In the cold war age, imagining these two rival agencies working side by side was unheard of... Til now. This pairing isn't without its flaws though, some intentional and some not so much. It managed to stay true to age for the original series except for one obvious goof, Russia was known as U.S.S.R. during this time frame but is never referenced. Ultimately it's a quirky mystery drama with many comedic moments throughout. An interesting prequel to a series that lived up to the idea. Too bad the prequel came 40 years later. Bringing a forgettable series back to the forefront. Was it a good decision? That remains to be seen...
