The Review

This dark and depraved tale of a severely dysfunctional family dealing with suicide leaves much to be desired.ᅠWe have 2ᅠsiblings have both led entirely different lives. One is a gay and suffering with depression, the other is straight but struggles with relationships and sexuality. Their father committed suicide when they were young and showed them that was the method of coping that worked best. They've beenᅠestranged for 10 years and it takes a crisis to reunite them.ᅠAt separate times, they're both on the vergeᅠsuicide and at one point past the verge for each of them. They don't know who they are or what they want out of life. What they do have is each other, the thing is... neither of them realizes it until it might be to late. The first hour of this movie is painfully dark and slow. There doesn't appear to be much of a story in the story. The last 30+ minutes are much more cohesive. The lip syncing scene is downright delightful and the highlight of the movie. If you can stay awake through the 1st 2/3 of the movie, you'll enjoy the rest. It's got a lot of flaws and was not told to it's potential. This movie had the potential to be something great, unfortunately it fell way short. The sexual overtones of the movie and subjects it approaches make this a movie I would highly recommend that children avoid.
