The Magellan-61 mission set out to change the face of the planet. The thing is, the planet isn't earth and it would change things in ways it couldn't even begin to imagine. One of the astronauts aboard this historic mission would learn something en route to their destination. What is she about to learn? That she'll be the first person to give birth on Mars. Her son would grow up knowing all there is to know about life on Mars but very little about the earth itself. When he approaches maturity, he faces many personal conflicts. One of which he attempts to resolve through contact with a far away friend. When the opportunity presents itself for him to make the journey to the planet he's never known, it's an opportunity that he can't pass up. Only there's a problem. Life on Mars has changed him in ways that will make a life on Earth difficult if not impossible. What can he do? What will he do? This will take you along with him on the journey of a lifetime, having the rare chance to see things from another worldly perspective. Even though it may not be what you expect, it will enact feelings of nostalgia towards other somewhat similar movies (Flight of the Navigator, The Martian, etc). Although it's a bit slow at times, there is enough heart to carry it through.
